Render Modes

Smoothing Angle Default smoothing angle for solid render mode.
Smoothing Method
Organic Optimized for smooth models
Mechanical Optimized for models with sharp edges
Outline Width Thickness of lines in illustration mode.
Outline Crease Angle Angle to show edges in illustration mode.
X-Ray Opacity Opacity of objects in X-Ray mode. "Selected objects" - opacity will be reduced for selected objects, "Unselected objects" - opacity will be reduced for selected objects,

Mouse Buttons

MIddle Button Click and drag with middle mouse button.
Right Button Click and drag with right mouse button.
Left+Right Buttons Click and drag with left and right mouse buttons.

World Axis

Type Select 3D model to be used as axis gizmo.
Size Size of axis area in pixels.
Position Selection of viewport corner.

Miscellaneous

Inertial Rotation Rotate viewport after releasing mouse button. This option is used in simple view mode only.
Allow background updates

When checked, heavy objects will be generated in background thread. Updated objects are rendered as boxes with approximate size. During update, save and similar operations are not available. Currently this options is supported by following objects:

  • NURBS Brep (Trimmed Nurbs)
  • Boolean
  • Remove Internal Parts
  • Fix face orientation.
Highlight Object Highlight object on mouse hover.
Show Object Info Show object information on mouse hover.
Output Forms... Dialog with list of predefined and custom viewport sizes. It is possible to define your size, 444*333 for instance.

Colors

List of colors used for displaying elements in 3d. The first column is for colors used by all UI themes (light or dark). The right column is for the active UI theme. It is possible to define UI theme-specific color. Thus it will be different from another UI theme. For instance, you may want a black background for a Dark UI theme, while a lighter background for Light color theme.
Transparency for several items also may be changed.
Background and General
Background Top
Background Bottom Different top and bottom colors may be used to create color gradient.
Illustration Background Background in illustration mode. Usually this will be white color.
Scene Box Edges of scene bounding box.
Grid Color of ground grid lines
Geometry
Updating Object The bounding box of the currently processing object. This object is not ready yet and even bounding box may be not known. An example of such objects: Nurbs, modifiers, like boolean, polygon reducer, etc.
Updating Wire Object Edges of updating object.
Suspended Object Object, which update was paused or cancelled.
Edges of BBox Edges of object bounding box in bounding box render mode.
Faces of BBox Sides of object bounding box.
Points Color of vertices in points render mode.
Wireframes Color of edges in wireframe render mode.
Lines and Splines Color of splines or polyline meshes.
Faces Color of object faces in illustration render mode.
Illustration Outlines Color of object contour and edges in illustration mode.
Selection and Highlighting
Highlighted Frame Color of frame around hot object. Hot object is an object below mouse cursor in 3d viewport or scene tree.
Selection Region Colors of selection region, used by rectangular or circular selection tools.
Selected Object Color of selected object. This is related to faces of selected object. If renderer mode is combination of edges and faces then color of edges is controlled with option below.
Selected Wireframes Color of edges of selected object. This option is used to make edges more visible in relation to highlighted faces. If faces are not shown (wireframe mode for instance) edges will be rendered using previous option.
Highlighted Faces Highlight color for faces and edges of hot object.
Bounding Box Bounding box of selected object.
Start of Spline This option may be helpful, if you want to distinguish start and end of spline. If so, define separate color for start of spline.
X, Y, Z axes Color of axes. This color is used for object axes, gizmo, grid plane and similar elements.
Active axis Color of the axis, currently used for operation. Active axis may be selected by clicking on the button in main toolbar or clicking on transformation gizmo.
Motion Path Color of object path of motion. To see motion path, this object should be animated directly or indirectly via animation in parent objects. Also displaying of motion path should be enabled in viewport.
Snapping Item Color of item which shows available snapping information.
Markers Default color of  used to change properties of primitives and in interactive way.
Selected NURBS Cage Color of NURBS CV grid.
Clipping plane
Border Color of clipping plane edges.
Plane Color of clipping plane itself.
Highlight Color of selected or highlighted clipping plane.
Outline Color of lines formed by intersection of objects and clipping plane.
Mesh Editor
All Edges Non selected edges in edge selection mode and all edges in rest modes.
Selected Edges Selected edges in edge selection mode.
All Vertices Non selected vertics in points mode.
Selected Vertices Selected vertics in points mode.
Selected Faces Selected faces in faces mode.
Hot Vertex/Face/Edge Color of elements highlighted by mouse hover.
Markup Defaults
Markup Line All lines and text in markups and dimensions.
Markup Background Color of markup background.
Detail View Border Frame of detail view.
Objects
Light Color of light object. For point light this will be color cross.
Hot Light Color of highlighted light object.
