Each channel and layer may have amount from 0 to 100, so it's possible to additionally control amount of each channel.

If material channel is empty you may create new one by adding new layer. In order to create layer in empty channel click on + icon and in drop down menu select type of layer. For detailed description of channel please click here.

Follow Selection and Lock to Material

Material Editor may work in two modes: Follow Selection and Lock to Material. Follow selection is default one. However if you need to keep any material selected in Material Editor while scene selection is changed, you may use Lock to Material mode. This option is enabled by clicking on Follow Selection button. When Lock to material is active, this button will be displayed in yellow color. This may be especially helpfull, when two or more material editors are open and there is a need to view properties of several materials simultaneously.
